Under ideal conditions, a mature Datil Pepper plant may produce as many as 4 pounds of peppers over a single season and many people raise more than one plant. So what can you do with the surplus peppers that you don't need for your personal use? No one wants to throw them away. After all, you spent the time and energy to raise them. Freezing them is a reasonable solution for most people, but even then, you tend to fill the freezer with peppers and eventually have more than you can use.
